“We had to cook more before kickoff!”

We fitted Sausage2Go grab and go food units at concession stands all around Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol. We caught up with the team at Ashton Gate as they were preparing for one of the first rugby games of the season. Having used the units at a couple of events already, the Concession team were clearly well versed in prep and packing. It wasn’t long before they had the unit fully stocked and ready to serve! “When we launched the 150g Porky Hot Dogs from The Sausage Man, we were surprised how quickly they sold – we had to cook more before kick-off! We restocked again for the break and the fans seemed to love the sausages so much that this will become one of our biggest selling food items.

“One of the main selling points of Sausage2Go is that it’s a big substantial meal, full of taste and the quality is excellent. We cater here for Bristol City Football Club and Bristol Bears Rugby, and we’re lucky enough to have been hosting concerts for the last few years too. 

“It’s going really well and it’s really exciting for us. It normally takes a few fixtures for the rollout of a new product to get to where it needs to be, but as soon as we launched we were selling out straight away. We’ve already increased production and the demand has increased with each game so far.

“It’s all about quick service”

“At a sports stadium it’s all about quick service – we don’t want people queuing for any longer than they have to. So we’re always looking for a product that can hold well and when it goes to the customer it’s still at that premium quality.
